What could possibly go wrong?????
It's so important to raise money for cancer research, we've all been affected by it.
We need your help to reach a minimum target of £1000 for Cancer Research UK.
To do that we've decided that a classic 88 year old British Rudge motorcycle will be ridden 906 miles in 5 days from John o' Groats to Lands End, piloted by a vintage 71 year old. What could possibly go wrong?
June 2 - and awaaay!
June 6 - the End is nigh.
Betty - 1937 Rudge Ulster 500cc 4 valve single cylinder. Rusty and worn out she was resurrected and restored by Giles this year after sleeping under blankets in the back of a garage for 64 years! A lot of skill, patience and Tender Loving Cash was required. Named in memory of favorite Aunt Betty.
Giles - Pilot.
James - driver, logistics, accommodation, counsellor, fund raising, exorcist, engine whisperer.
100% of donations received will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
A fundraising Quiz Night will be held at Teign Corinthian Yacht Club May 3rd at 19:30 with Betty and the Pilot both on display. All welcome - £12.50 a head including pulled pork roll. The bar will be open, there will also be a raffle with exciting prizes!
Please book via the TCYC website.
At the TCYC Mid Summer Party on June 14th the total of the funds raised will be announced.
A thrilling talk on the journey with colour moving pictures will be presented later this year at TCYC. We will be inviting Liz Hurley and George Clooney as guests of honour. Date to be announced.
