Manduvi takes part in Cross channel Regatta

Richard Bryant's boat Manduvi, a Saxon 34 Wooden built 1963 took, part in a Regatta with the Yacht Club Classique in Dartmouth Brest and Camaret last week.

Excellent 4 days of sailing in the sheltered waters of Start Bay and the Rade de Brest with associated french provided hospitality.

Crew Grantley Simmons, Richard Bryant, Russell Porter and James Roberts. Sally and Brian Tucker also joined in the Dartmouth part.

Manduvi sail number 1924 in the photos was the only British boat out of 10 taking part in Brest,.We came 2nd out of 10 starters. We were well pleased.

The courses were all around fixed buoys none of this windward leward milarkey! One race 19 miles, others shorter with lunch break.

The French were really appreciative that we had made the effort to go, the camaraderie was excellent.
