    Enthusiastic Novices demand more...

This autumn we have been trying something new for our less experienced and newly qualified dinghy sailors. All 48 slots sold out within 8 hours of going live and this weekend saw the first of two 4 day sessions where were trying to give them more time on the water without the pressure of joining in club racing. With a support team of 9 experienced racers giving up their time for

    Fabulous Autumn Dinghy Regatta

Teign Corinthian YC's much awaited autumn regatta for dinghies finally got going on Saturday October 1st. Middle of previous week it was looking very doubtful if things would go ahead with forecasts of 40 knot winds and much rain being predicted. In the event Saturday saw a westerly topping out at 25 knots and Sunday a north easterly of no more than 10 knots - and all in blue sky and sunshine. Perfect.

Ship in a Bottle Regatta 2022

Second day of the Ship in a Bottle Regatta started quietly with a steady easterly blowing up the river. Lots of different craft added to the spectacle on a warm summer's day. With many local sailors off to distant climes like Abersoch (Solo Nationals) and northern France (classic yacht race), just a few select sailors joined the event at Coombe Cellars. Saturday's overnight leader, Mark Phillips saw his lead disappear as Tim Martin put

Tremendous end to the Icebreaker Series 2022

Thirteen boats launched on the final day of the Icebreaker Saturday Series. Unseasonable sunshine combined with a stiff Easterly breeze ensured that exciting sailing lay ahead. The brisk conditions made for entertaining viewing for the members watching from the new clubhouse with capsizes and gear breakages being all to common. Race Officer Tim Martin set a beat towards Flow Point followed by a run to Archbrook and then two very fast reaches

    New signs at Coombe Cellars

Dear all, We have tried to make it as clear as possible that there should be no cars driving on the grass boat lane. Successful Solo Open 2022

Teign Corinthian Yacht Club hosted a late autumn Solo meeting at their new Coombe Cellars clubhouse on Saturday November 13th. You can never tell what weather you're going to get in mid-November but as it happened the forecast light north westerly was just that, light 6-8 knots mainly from the NW with occasional flicks to the right and back again. Northerly's on the River Teign are are a nightmare for the sailors
