Model Yacht Demo

Ever fancied a go sailing a model yacht? We have a few keen model yacht racers in our midst and they're going to lay on a demo next Wednesday 6th March at Coombe Cellars.

There should be six boats arriving, being driven by members of the Torbay Model Yacht Club and led by our own Liam McGrath. They use radio controlled sailing craft and race a specific one design yacht, the Josway Dragon Flite 95.

With high water at 14:10 they'll be arriving from 10:30 onwards and expect to sail from around 11:00 onward. Depending on the wind they'll likely be in the pool area just to the west of the pub or directly outside our clubhouse.

Who knows, if we get sufficient interest we could set up a sub group of model yacht racers within the club
