Training Information
TCYC is an RYA Approved Training Centre for teaching both Sail and Power boat courses. Sail Training courses are run for both Adults and Juniors over the summer months. In addition we run Powerboat Courses. First Aid corses are generally run air the start of the season and priority is given to those who need to keep in date for instructing or supervising duties, VHF Radio courses can be organised with an external trainer, but we need sufficient people to make it worthwhile. We also run cruising theory courses for those that want to learn navigation or prepare for Dayskipper practical courses generally over the winter.
Our training centre is based at our new custom built facility at our Coombe Cellars site on the South bank of the Teignmouth estuary.
This location provides a sheltered stretch of water ideal for beginners to find their feet.
All courses are for members only so if you are interested in learning to sail with us then please join the club.
