Christmas (New Year) Dinghy Regatta at Coombe Cellars

A reminder that due to prevailing tides at Coombe Cellars our annual three day “Christmas” regatta will this year be held over the New Year period with racing on Saturday 31st Dec, Sunday 1st Jan and Monday 2nd Jan. Usual format of all-in handicap racing, two back to back races per day with four races to count overall. Really sociable start times of 10:00am, 10.30am and 11.00am respectively. No entry fee and all visitors welcome. Bacon rolls will be available on Saturday 31st December. On Monday 2nd January our TCYC Cruising for Fun section members have kindly offered to organize

Club Members turned out in force to celebrate the achievements of the Dinghy racers, Cruiser racers and the Cruising for Fun group writes Heather Davies. An impressive array of trophies was ready to be presented to those who found themselves at the front of their fleet in a variety of race series during the past year. The evening started with a special presentation to Malcolm and Fiona Davies who raced in the Tasar fleet World Championships in September held at Royal Torbay Yacht Club. This was received on Friday 19th from Minden Rose We are having a slow cruise around north Brittany, we were in Audeirne for 4 days waiting for the swell to calm and then we got to L’Aberwac’h for 7 days again over the weekend when you cancelled the september trip because of the gale. We were waiting wind and Sea to calm and now Treguier again wind and sea. But Paul is doing a passage plan and we hope to leave wednesday time and tide ok plus wind and sea to Guernsey and then back to good old blighty shores on
